Why Financial Well-Being?

Because understanding money management fundamentals and having a financial plan are not enough to get there. Both of those are part of the puzzle, but do not form the complete picture. Something more fundamental and personal is involved: One’s direct experience with money, the inner experience one has when dealing with money. This is the missing link, the key to unlocking financial well-being.
Where does that inner experience come from? From our history with money. All the way back to our childhood. Our past experiences with money, together with the attitudes and feelings we have associated with money, influence our behavior today. Often silently, without us consciously realizing it.
Financial well-being is achieved by uncovering those experiences and attitudes, finding and understanding those feelings. What’s behind the anxiety. The guilt. The avoidance. The sense of being overwhelmed. Financial well-being comes with letting go of what doesn’t serve you anymore, and focusing on what is real and what matters. For me, there is no better way of getting there than by teaching and coaching others.
